Miniland Cars: Japan

Mistubishi Lancer Evolution X

Built in 2009

Not really a beauty and the question might come up if a 4-door sportscar is making sense. The answer is yes! This car is made for winning rallyes, not for winning beauty contests!
The dark colors of the LEGO bricks are fantastic. Dark red is the perfect color for the Evo.
Lately I've discovered the advantage of building with a gap of half a plate - not half a stud. With this technique it's possible to build a little bit "smoother". I prefer the older rims for the 30.4 x 14 VR wheels, but the new hub caps are cool.

Nissan 350Z "NISMO"

Built in 2007

Don't look at the brilliant VW Minibus, or the other fantastic cars :\) My Nissan is the object to look at.
The Nissan's shape is exactly the same like the 1st Version of the Audi TT. So I've used the miniland variant for inspiration and changed it into a Nissan.
NISMO = Nissan Motor Sports - Pimp my Nissan!

Nissan Skyline GT-R34

Built in 2010

If you are a fan of european cars, you might not know the Nissan Skyline GT-R34, but in fact, this car is very iconic.
Stuck in a rush on a german highway. Could there be more worse in that ride?
The dark bluish grey elements supposed to be Carbon. I'm pretty sure there are lots of body kits available for this fantastic car.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi

Built in 2013

Finally, after several years (!) the Mitsubishi Evo met his brother: the Subaru Impreza WRX STi. They both have several similarities: price, power, type of drive and rallye history is pretty close to each other.
A sedan type car might not be very popular for a rallye car, but this is the second exception to the rule.
There are also not many cars which can "wear" golden rims. The Subaru definately belongs to this group! And it suits him well.

Toyota MR2 AW11

Built in 2007
Some photos are taken at LEGOLAND Windsor

Many years ago, I've owned a Toyota MR2 in real life. Sadly the car was the most time in the dealer's garage because the many people who owned the car bevore me treated it not very well. But the short time I was able to drive it was fantastic.
The scene of the second photo was typical for me. The MR2 in front of a car spare shop.
This creation has movable flip-eyes, opening doors, engine cover and trunk! A smooth push at the steering wheel opens the flip-eyes. Because of the few space there are no hinges who are fixing the trunk and the engine cover. But of course an engine is also included in this model.
