The colour scheme of the police cars is so nice. And the fact that their painting is different, makes it even more interesting to build them.

Ford GT40

In the past, elements in Maersk blue where very rare. The older AFol's may remeber ;) In this time I wanted to build a car in Maersk blue, because I like the challenge to build cars in colors with less different available elements. A Maersk transporter was too boring and after a while the "Gulf" color scheme came to my mind. From that point it was clear to build the Ford GT40.
A few weeks after finishing my Ford GT40, I've discovered that there was a GT40 in the LEGOLAND Billund also (see small image). It was very interesting for me to see how they made it. One difference are the opening doors and the opening engine cover. But I guess these features wouldn't make sense for a LEOGLAND model.
The orange rims are still quite rare on Bricklink. But it was worth to to buy them. The truck is made by members of the Brickish Association. Now who is driving on the wrong side of the street?

It was really a challenge to make it angular and stable. The windshield is too small and the mudgards are too wide and yet I love the look!
