Miniland Cars: DeLorean

DeLorean "Back to the Future"

The most remarkable car in movie history: the DeLorean DMC12, used in Back to the Future. The funny thing is, that no one would ever took notice on that car without the existance of the movie.

Doc: Yes, the way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?

This model is made with pearl-light-grey bricks, which were never released to a usual set, but it's the perfect color, for the stainless steel body.

Now, let's see, if this steam train hits 88miles per hour!
The train wheels of the DeLorean are fitting perfect on the miniland train tracks. The steam train is going back and forth and wasn't stopped for the photo session, so the DeLorean was really pushed by the train for a while.

The members of the german De Lorean Fan club confirmed that my model came close to the original:-\)
One of the very rare series vehicle with wing doors: the De Lorean DMC12. It was the only car from the De Lorean Motor Company. Sadly the car was not very succesful because of quality problems and a too small engine.
The body of this model is build completely with pearl light gray bricks. This is a challenge for itself, because there were no headlight bricks, or slopes available - just standard basics. But it's the best color for a car with a stainless steel surface.
